A 'Kudumba Yogam' of Kanakkary Upa Sabha was held at POTHIYIL MANA, Kuravilangad, Kottayam on 03-06-12. The function was inaugurated by the State President Sri Akkeeramon Kalidasa Bhattathiri. The Secretary, Kanakkary Upa Sabha, Sri P.P.Narayanan Nambootrhiri (Pothiyil Mana) after welcome speech, presented the annual report of the upa Sabha. The president, Kanakkary upa Sabha, Sri V.K.Kumaran Nambootrhiri presided over the meeting. Sri E.N.Raman Namboothiri, Secretary, Yoga Kshema Sabha, Kottayam District, explained the importance, the role and the functioning of the Sabha in up bringing the society as a whole with its broad outlook "LOKA SAMASTHA SUKHINO BHAVANTHU". He also spoke of the necessity of women members (Antharjanangal) coming forward for the active participation in the functioning of Yoga Kshema Sabha. A study class on Micro Finance was conducted by the State Co-ordinator Sri N.Vijayan Namboothiri. The President, Kuravilangad Grama Panchayat Smt.T.S.Rema Devi gave away the prizes to the children of members who scored top marks in 10th and +2 examinations. Other spokesmen were Sri T.K.Sreekumar (Joint Secretary-Kottayam), Sri.C.S.Narayanan Namboothiri (Ex.President-Kanakkary), Smt.Sumakumary (Presidsent-Vanitha Samajam-Kanakkary). One laminated photo of Aadi Sankara was given to each members during the function. The meeting was concluded with Vote of Thanks by the Vice President-Kanakkary, Smt.Sathyavathi Devi.K.
